We know we have a talented team here who are so committed to the children we see and the progress they make.
We were so pleased to receive this wonderful feedback about them from other healthcare professionals and specialists at St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
Our therapist Jodie Herbert had been working with a child who had seen several professionals who had not noticed his cleft palate – a very rare and complex form. Jodie identified the problem and referred him to a specialist at St Thomas' Hospital - and this is what they had to say about her:
"We’ve just seen [the child you referred] at the cleft MDT clinic. Such a complex case medically, and Louisa (our cleft surgeon) has just diagnosed him with a submucosal cleft palate, which hadn’t been picked up until now.
"Well done for referring him to us – he’s had so many medical investigations, and because of your referral we’ve been able to put together all the information to give the parents a diagnosis and some answers.
"You’re an absolute star, and they are lucky to have you! We’ll make sure to include you in his report."
