We are delighted to announce that our sister company, Speech4Schools has won several contracts to deliver speech and language therapy across five schools in Gravesend and Dartford.
In addition, we have also been contracted to deliver in a further two schools after excellent feedback from the first month in the original five was shared.
Our work with the schools started in January; numerous year contracts to provide speech and language support after their NHS contract finished in December, meaning a smooth transition and no break in support for the children and teaching staff.
Schools were notified last October of the discontinuation of speech & language support; independent companies were then invited to tender to take over the contracts and Speech4Schools was successful.
Speech4Schools also gives training to professionals who work with children to help them to identify speech and language difficulties early and have some foundation therapy techniques to use during play for nursery children and in lessons, for primary school children.
Our founder, Sidonie Delaney, said: "The team and I are so proud to have won these contracts. When children with speech and language issues receive the support they need, it can have a huge impact on their learning, confidence and social skills, so being able to provide therapy in their educational setting can make such a difference."
"Work with the schools has already got under way with brilliant feedback so far and we are excited to continue supporting the children, as well as the staff to help their pupils to flourish."
